TV3 is a federal television channel, the concept of which is based on the demonstration of TV series, documentaries and feature films. Initially (the channel began broadcasting in 1994), the priority of the channel was to spread broadcasting to major cities of Russia, as the regions most interested in advertisers. Having started airing on the territory of St. Petersburg, three years later TV3 appeared in the capital and eight other major cities of the country. In 2002, the channel extended the broadcast network to almost the entire territory of the Russian Federation.

2006 was marked by a change of ownership – Prof-Media holding became the owner, a year later TV3 started producing its own programs. It was at this time that the channel was redesigned. The concept of its own development under the brand "Real Mystical" was chosen as the fundamental one. Priority in the show was given to three genres – mystery, adventure and fantasy.
