Chanson TV is the first music TV channel broadcasting to a Russian–speaking audience, dedicated to genres such as chanson, bardic and author's song. First appearing on the air in the summer of 2006, the channel became a television version of the popular radio Chanson.

Chanson TV shows traditional Russian song genres: author's song, convict song, modern and classic urban romance, "thug" music. About 25% of the broadcast is given to foreign performers working in similar genres. In addition to clips, the channel shows live broadcasts of concerts and their recordings, meetings with famous domestic chanson performers.
